Chamber of Commerce
The
Chamber of Commerce is the
legally constituted representative of all independent
business firms, with the exception of the independent professions, farmers, and
individuals renting out premises.
The Chamber is organised in six sections which deal with commerce, industry, trade,
transportation, tourism, and banking and insurance. The activities concerned
involve both representing the interests of members and providing services for
them. These services are concerned with the provision of professional training
and operational advice for business firms. For this purpose the Economic
Promotion Institute (
WIFI)
has been established. WIFI is concerned with the areas of professional training,
operational advice, trade fairs and exports, promotion of economic activity, and
export promotion.
